Justice

We don’t see justice as political rhetoric.

We see justice as a biblical standard and norm that flows from the very heart of God ( Psalm 37:28 ).

And we see God as the defender of poor, the displaced, and the disadvantaged ( Isaiah 25 ).

In 700 BC, God said that his people (meaning his church) are to (Isaiah 1):

—— learn to do good

—— seek justice

—— correct oppression

—— bring justice to the fatherless

—— plead the widow's cause

These words from God call for activation, not passivity. It’s the people of God loving and caring for those who don’t have parents, for women without husbands, the poor, the displaced, and the disadvantaged.

As a community we have committed ourselves to be people who grow in our understanding of biblical justice and respond in redemptive ways (Proverbs 14:31, Micah 6:8, Matthew 23:23).

We long to be Jesus followers passionate about making justice a way of life ( Matthew 25:35-40).
